After 14 years, National Vision, Inc. has terminated my sub-occupancy lease for my part of the Vision Center located inside Wal*Mart. There was a clause in my lease that they could at any time without any prior notice or conflict terminate my lease with thirty days written notice. National Vision thought it was in their best interest to terminate my lease due to the fact that I was not adhering to the hours stated in the lease. My argument was that since I was an Independent Doctor of Optometry (basically working as a subcontractor) and not an employee of National Vision that they could not dictate my hours! . It was their legal right to terminate my lease and remove me from the premises. They have now brought in a new Optometrist as an EMPLOYEE  so that they can dictate the hours! OH, and by the way the hours that they wanted me to work with the new lease that I would not sign was 48 HOURS A WEEK AND EVERY SATURDAY WITH NO EXCEPTIONS. So needless to say I have relocated my office and now I consider it a blessing that this has happened. I am excited and anxious to see all my patients over the last 14 years at my new office and will be accepting all the same insurances and will be keeping my fees very reasonable.

I have extensive background in ocular disease and Lasik surgery postoperative care and have attended nationally renowned laser centers and seminars throughout the United States and Canada.
